Today, thirteen volunteers spent hours in the woods at DuPont Forest improving the Reasonover Creek Trail. It is one of my favorite. It follows the stream for a bit and I love hearing the water when traveling on the trail.
The crew spent over four hours improving wet spots on the trail. Drains were cleaned and a lot of good conversation was had.
I always enjoy how many trail users say, “thank you for your work” as they pass by.
The Friends of DuPont Forest is a wonderful volunteer organization that does an amazing amount of work in the Forest. Membership is open to anyone with an interest. We love the educational classes they make available to members. Did you know there were petroglyphs in the forest? We didn’t either until we took one of those classes.
