Another note from CATALYST, vol 17, Fall 2017, published by the Union of Concerned Scientists, this one is on p. 7 and confirmed by Aug. 3, 2017 NY Times:
EPA’s Scott Pruitt on Aug 2 did NOT stop the implementation of stricter 2015 ozone standards, as he previously promised to do. Was this because of the public outcry? or the lawsuits filed by 15 states and District of Columbia? No matter, it was a great step for the future of our earth, so is to be commended!
And, although Pres. Trump tried to eliminate the two million due by the US to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Senators Susan Collins and Lamar Alexander broke ranks with other Republicans, so the Senate passed 10 million for IPCC and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the latter organization is responsible for implementing the 2015 Paris climate agreement. Give thanks when possible, especially to those they are due!
