The first time my husband and I saw Rev. Dr. Barber, we were hooked.   We have been deeply involved in politics and recognized his wisdom immediately.   When we moved here from West Virginia we joined the NC NAACP so that we could be a part of his work.

He recently announced his departure as President of the chapter to kick off the Poor People’s Campaign.  We have been following the campaign intently.  This movement is picking up where Martin Luther King left off.  I believe this Campaign is what is needed to heal our country.

It officially kicked off this week.

You can watch the campaign kick-off in this video.

We have signed up to be an active part of the campaign.  You can too.  If you are interested in learning more about it, please let us know.
