House GOP Budget Calls for Tax Reform, Spending Cuts

The budget resolution includes $5.4 trillion in spending cuts over the next decade, and allows comprehensive tax reform legislation to be passed through reconciliation rather than debated on the floor. A large part of the savings comes from Medicaid (sound familiar?) and Medicare. It assumes full implementation of AHCA- 23 million uninsured by 2026. The House GOP is certainly consistent.

New York Times Opinion- The Voter Purges Are Coming

It is well understood that the President’s election-integrity commission was constituted for no purpose but to bolster Trumps. false claim of massive voter fraud and to excuse voter suppression. 508 cases of fraud in North Carolina in 2016 (most were felons serving active sentences) out of 4.8 million votes cast is wrong, but not massive. And certainly doesn’t justify more voter suppression laws. We need to push back.
